The restaurant Gather, with meats and vegetables seared on a wood-fired grill, aims for a late March opening on Gratiot Avenue, just across the street from Eastern Market..
"We're kind of just going to open with friends and family (first, and then) slowly open our doors one day," co-owner Kyle Hunt tells Crain's Annalise Frank. "Keep it not a secret, but more on the low-key side of things."
The restaurant at 1454 Gratiot Ave. is between Trinosophes coffeehouse and Antietam restaurant.
"Our main goal is to try to get across that it's a comfortable place. . . . It can be a place-for-everybody kind of thing," says co-owner Lea Hunt, wife of Kyle Hunt.
