Update: Cleveland Facebook Killer Steven Stephens Kills Himself

Update, 12:25 p.m. Tuesday: Facebook killer Steve Stephens died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound Tuesday in Erie, Penn., Cleveland.com reports. 

A resident tipped off police after spotting in a McDonald's parking lot in Erie shortly after 11 a.m.  Stephens fled and state troopers gave chase. When troopers approached, he shot himself, Cleveland.com reports. 

Authorities expressed concern on Monday that Stephens may have fled to Michigan or other surrounding states.

Authorities on Monday were leaving open the possibility that Steven Stephens, who randomly executed a 74-year-old man in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon while broadcasting it live on Facebook, may have crossed state lines and come into Michigan or other states, Cleveland.com reports. 

Cleveland police cautioned residents of Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan and Indiana to be on the look out for 37-year-old Steve Stephens, reports Corey Shaffer of Cleveland.com.

Chief Calvin Williams at a news conference Sunday evening and pleaded with Stephens to turn himself in to police.
