CNN's Soledad O'Brien hosts a panel discussion June 21 following a benefit premiere at the Fisher Theatre of the film "United States of Detroit."

Tyler Norwood's documentary is about residents' groups working to revive their Detroit neighborhoods. Journalist Mile O'Brien also moderates next week's discussion.

The film's site says:

Residents of Detroit's neighborhoods fight for survival in a city with an uncertain future. Working tirelessly to improve their communities in spite of the lack of resources and the legacy of broken infrastructure that has made it one the most failed major cities in the US. The characters in our film succeed, and in some ways thrive by activating the power of community in order to take back their neighborhoods from the decades long decline of America's comeback city.

Admission is $10. For tickets, click here. Proceeds go to the BLVD Harambee Empowerment Center.
