A 13-year-old girl was found Wednesday with a bullet wound to the head inside a home on Cheyenne Street on Detroit's west side, Amy Lange of Fox 2 reports. She's in critical condition.
Police tell Fox 2 the girl was lying on a couch with the weapon under her.
The teen was home with her sister and an adult with autism, who was upstairs when the gun went off.
Police are trying to determine if the child fired that gun intentionally or was playing with it and it went off and who the gun belongs to.
Instead of waiting for EMS, police rushed her to the hospital. She was talking and alert after being shot.
