Listen to the Flint Airport Attacker's Federal Court Appearance

June 22, 2017, 11:50 AM

Federal authorities on Thursday released an audio tape of Amor M. Ftouhi's initial appearance in U.S. District In Flint on Wednesday, hours after he stabbed an airport police officer multiple times.

During the hearing, Ftouhi, 49, waived his right to a detention hearing. Therefore, he was automatically detained, though there was zero chance of him ever being released.

A preliminary examination has been set for July 5.

The media is not allowed to bring TV cameras and recording devices in federal court.
