With the Tigers slipping away, it's time to think college football.
But University of Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh has some work to do.
The Detroit Free Press preseason Top 25 ranks the Wolverines #11, writing:
It’s difficult to get around the fact that they’ll take the field with 18 new starters. It’s also difficult to get around that schedule, which features Florida on a neutral field, Penn State on the road at night and Ohio State at home. But this coaching staff is among the best in the country at getting the most out of what it has, so don’t be surprised if this team cracks the Top 5.
Michigan State University, plagued by a sexual assault scandal, is nowhere to be seen on the list.
Alabama ranks #1, followed by Ohio State University.
