Eminem, aka Marshall Mathers, is looking to dump a piece of real estate that he reportedly used as a second home, reports the Detroit Free Press.
The famous 44-year-old rapper is listing his Rochester Hills home for $2 million. He paid nearly $4.8 million for the 17,500-square-foot property at 5760 Winkler Mill Rd. in 2003, several years before the housing market crashed nationwide and a recession set in, diminishing the value of many homes. If sold, he'll get about $2.8 million less than what he paid.
The upside is that Eminem is reportedly worth $201 million.
For the past decade, Eminem has primarily lived at his home in Clinton Township and raised his three daughters. The five-bedroom, Rochester Hills home, previously owned by ex-Kmart chairman Chuck Conway, was used as an occasional getaway for Eminem, a source tells the Freep's Brian McCollum. It has seven full baths and three half baths.
The real estate site, Zillow, describes the property this way:
SPECTACULAR gated estate on nearly 6 acres with guard house. This private sanctuary has over 17,000 square feet of living space. Every bedroom is a suite! This lavish estate features tennis courts, waterfall pool with spa, entertainment cabana, guest house with wild game room and private pond. Imported building materials through-out. House is sold "as is".
