An arcade bar with pinball and electronic games is open above Checker Bar, 124 Cadillac Square in downtown Detroit.

Offworld Arcade posts on Facebook:

Super-soft opening tonight starting at 5pm. Not all games will be running. Still working out what we are even calling this thing, but basically it's the trifecta of Pop Pizza / Checker Bar / Offworld Arcade and it's upstairs at Checker Bar.

Brenna Houck writes at Eater Detroit:

A representative from Offworld Arcade, which was founded by Don Behm in 2014, confirms to Eater that the project will be a separate entity from the Checker Bar and will be operated in partnership with Pop Pizza.

It will also include a bar, making it the first official bar arcade within the city.

Until now, Offworld described itself as a "classic arcade in Detroit, MI that moonlights as a gallery and a community workspace for people who love electronic gaming."

Its interim site was 2701 Bagley and it hosted monthly pop-up evenings "of electronic Amusements at the super-awesome Checker Bar."
