During a performance at the Iowa State Fair on Sunday night, Michigan's own Kid Rock delivered a few political messages. He sold “Kid Rock for U.S. Senate” shirts at $25 and ran a brief photo of President Trump during an in-song photo collage, Matthew Leimkuehler of the Detroit Free Press reports.

But his harshest message came during the the bridge of “Born Free,” when he decided to comment on the upcoming NFL season and quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49er quarterback who is currently a free agent.

At that moment, Kid Rock, aka Robert James Ritchie, delivered a short message for Kaepernick, who gained national attention in 2016 for not standing during the National Anthem before games to protest treatment of people of color.

"Football’s about ready to start," Kid Rock said in Des Moines. "You know what? Fuck Colin Kaepernick."

The singer backed Republicans Mitt Romney and Donald Trump in the presidential races, and has teased people about possibly running for as a Republican for U.S. Senate in Michigan in 2018 against incumbent Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow.

There are few things that are certain in life, and one of those is that Kaepernick won't donate to Kid Rock if he runs.
