Though construction isn't done, downtown Detroit's third major sports venue looks readier by the day.

Little Caesars Arena, now features several sleek signs broadcasting its identity, including the Pistons and Red Wings logos and a Chevrolet-sponsored entrance. Inside, basketball court installation began this week (see last photo).

The destination opens in September, replacing the Palace of Auburn Hills and Joe Louis Arena as the new home for the Wings and Pistons.  Beyond that, it will host a steady stream of concerts and other events.

A Kid Rock concert is the inaugural event on Sept. 12. The Red Wings will play their first preseason game Sept. 23 and the Pistons host a preseason matchup for the first time on Oct. 4.
