Social media has made it a lot easier to date. It has also made it more dangerous.
A date made through a social media website allegedly led to the sexual assault of a 31-year-old Rochester Hills woman.
Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were summoned to Beaumont Hospital in Troy around 4 a.m. Sunday where the alleged victim was being treated, reports Aileen Wingblad of the Oakland Press.
The man went to pick the woman up at Village Green Apartments to see a late movie. But when she let him in, he sexually assaulted her, the woman told police.
She is working with police to identify the suspect.
