A man tried to carjack a woman's vehicle, but a trucker intervened.

The incident, captured on the video below, began at around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday at a BP station at the corner of Roosevelt and Southfield in Allen Patrk, Fox 2 reports.

A woman was filling up her car when the suspect strolled up and jumped into the driver's seat. The woman got in the car on the passenger side with the carjacker driving off.

The car initially is blocked by a gasoline tanker and other vehicles, and the woman presumably also is making it difficult for him to drive off. He comes to a standstill.

The tanker driver runs around to driver's side. As the suspect tries to get out of the car, the trucker grabs him around the shoulders and neck. As they grapple, the man slips out of his jacket, drops it and runs off.
