We expect a beautiful fall weekend, with high temperature in the low 70s and high 60s. In other words, it's too nice to sit home and binge watch Netflix shows.

Friday 

Gala + Art Auction at MOCAD: Cocktails, a seated dinner,  entertainment and art auction items. The auction will be curated by MOCAD’s Susanne Feld Hilberry, Senior Curator at Large Jens Hoffmann and MOCAD’s Executive Director, Elysia Borowy-Reeder. Proceeds go to support MOCAD's work. Artworks Detroit 2017:  Food, fashion, an auction, music and art. Proceeds support the Matrix Human Services, a 111-year-old nonprofit based in Detroit, which helps more than 25,000 people and families every year. 7 p.m., $75, Taubman Center, for Design Education 460 W. Handcrafters Fall Fair: 70 art and handcrafted exhibitors offering seasonal decor, specialty foods and art.  Admission $3. Kids 12 and under free. Northville Community Center, 303 W. Main St., Northville. Friday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Sat., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Info here.

Hamtramck Neighborhood Arts Festival: The 8th annual event celebrates the unique arts culture of the city and its surrounding neighborhoods. 10238 Joseph Campau Ave. All day. Schedule.

Friday-Sunday

Detroit '67: If you still have a hankering for something about the Detroit 1967, this play fits the bill. The story is about brother and sister,  Michelle and Langston, who run a basement blind pig to make ends meet. When a nearby police raid sparks a riot, their lives and the life of their city changes forever. Detroit ‘67 evokes the music and spirit of a pivotal time in history.
