Jay Leno stopped in for a meal at the New Peking restaurant on Ford Road in Garden City Monday night, and according to the owner, the comedian said he had the best shrimp he’s ever eaten, Hasan Dudar of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Owner Shen Yu  said Leno found the restaurant through Yelp and simply remarked that he was in town on "an errand."

“He’s a really nice guy,” Yu tells the Freep.  “I didn’t even recognize him.”

Leno, a car buff who currently hosts of CNBC's "Jay Leno's Garage," ordered Dry Garlic Sauce-Shrimp, a house specialty of breaded shrimp stir-fried in garlic sauce and Bong Bong Chicken, a dish of breaded chicken marinated in a spicy garlic ginger sauce.
