The Pistons last season in downtown Detroit was in 1978 at Cobo.
On Wednesday, after a long absence, the team opened its first game at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit against the Charlotte Hornets. The Pistons won 102-90.
While the attendance was lighter than one might expect for such a grand occasion -- the opening ceremony didn't disappoint; it was replete with a lot of hoopla including a little shout out to Detroit from hometown entertainer, Eminem.
