A major overhaul has begun at the Charles T. Fisher mansion in the Boston-Edison neighborhood.

CoG Studio, a multi-disciplinary design firm in Detroit, selected firm to oversee all renovations, said in a press release that the renovation will happen in three phases.

“We have created a team of amazing contractors and engineers to develop a concept that enhances Hill Harper’s love for art, history, and entertainment,”  Chandra Moore, Founder and Design Director at coG Studio.

The house sold earlier this year to actor Hill Harper for $1.25 million.

The first phase of the renovation is slated to be completed by June 2018 just in time for Detroit Junior League’s 2018 Designers’ Show House in September.

According to coG Studio, the three phases will be broken down this way:

Phase One: Highlighting the public spaces and making the house habitable.
Phase Two: Focus on the private 4,000 sq. ft. suite for Hill's family.
Phase Three: Repurpose the infrastructure as well as a backyard makeover.

The 15,623-square-foot building has 14 bedrooms and nine-full bathrooms, six half baths.
