McDonald's Worker in Detroit's New Center Has Hepatitis A

A worker at McDonald's at 2889 W. Grand Blvd in Detroit, down the street from the Fisher Theatre, has been diagnosed with Hepatitis A, WXYZ reports.

The Detroit Health Department is investigating the matter and is recommending vaccinations for anyone who ate at the restaurant from Nov. 8-22.

It is recommended that they get vaccine by Dec. 6. Uninsured Detroiters can get the shot free at both of the city's immunization clinics:

  • Samaritan Center: 5555 Conner Ave., (313) 410-8142 
  • The Family Place: 8726 Woodward Ave., (313) 410-7803
  • Hours: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Wednesday
