A restaurant and brewery is planned for the Packard Plant on Detroit's east side by 2019.
Kari Smith, development director for the group that acquired the massive complex, confirms to Dana Afana of MLive that an architectural team is in pre-development stages for the project.
"We feel that having a local restaurant and brewery adds amenities to the area and offers space" for people visiting and taking photos of the former automobile plant, Smith said.
The massive complex is expected to be developed in stages.
