Showtime has "Shameless," starring actor William H. Macy as pathetic Frank Gallagher. His character continuously does things that make you say, "That guy is shameless."

Well, after the latest news, Michigan's Ronna Romney McDaniel, former head of the Michigan Republican Party, and current chairperson of the Republican National Committee, is at least deserving of a cameo appearance on the show. McDaniel is the niece of former presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, who you might recall said in 2016 that Donald Trump is "a phony, a fraud...'His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University."

Now, The Washington Post reports that before Ronna Romney McDaniel took over as Republican National Committee chairwoman earlier this year, President Trump asked if she'd be willing to stop using her middle name publicly.

The change, the Post notes, was soon plain for all to see. Though she had used her maiden name for years in Michigan, where her grandfather George W. Romney had been governor, McDaniel dropped “Romney” from most official party communications and has rarely used it since.

How pathetic.

First off, whatever her competence, it has certainly helped that McDaniel has had the Romney name.

Sure, there's tension between Trump and Mitt Romney who recently trashed Alabama's Roy Moore, but how low can you go, throwing your  uncle under the bus to please a person like Donald Trump?

If Romney is willing to drop her name, what else is she willing to do to climb the political ladder?

Showtime's Frank Gallagher would envy her ability to be shameless.

Difference is: He's a TV character, and she's real.
