Now, the team behind Selden is opening a Mediterranean-focused concept in the New Center neighborhood in the old Payless ShoeSource building on Woodward, just south of West Grand Boulevard, reports Mark Kurlyandchik of the Detroit Free Press.
But don't get too excited yet. The unnamed spot likely won't open until 2019.
"We do a lot of Mediterranean cooking here at Selden, but there's a lot more world cuisine so it's kind of all over the map," Andy Hollyday, co-owner and executive chef of Selden Standard, tells the Freep. "A lot of my cooking has been French, Italian, Spanish, so it'll be that and also some influences from the Middle East, Greece and Morocco."
The experience will be fancier than at Selden, with tasting menus offered.
