Anthony Smith could have been killed. Instead, he just got a scare, a big one.
While driving on westbound I-94 and Van Dkye on Detroit's east side on Monday morning, a brick crashed through his windshield, Fox 2's Randy Wimbley reports.
"I could've been seriously injured or killed by this," he tells the station. "They could've really hurt somebody."
"Right before, I noticed people overhead on the overpass," he says. "I didn't think anything of it. I kept going and then I saw something come over."
Smith pulled over, assessed the damage and called Michigan State Police. He says a piece may have also struck a second car.
In October, a Genesee County man was killed when police say teens dropped a large rock from an overpass in Flint. In December, a Warren man, who was a passenger in a car, was killed when some teens dropped a sandbag from the I-75 overpass in Toledo.
