Baseball season is not that far off, even as we reboiund from a snowy weekend. Pitchers and catchers report to spring training Tuesday in Lakeland, Fla. The Tigers play their first exhibition game against a pro team Feb. 23 against the Yankees.
And Opening Day at Comerica Park is March 29 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
With that in mind, we dug up a video of Opening Day at Tiger Stadium in 1993 when Sparky Anderson managed players who included Kirk Gibson, Cecil Fielder and Lou Whitaker.
The Tigers ended up 85-77 for the season -- fourth place in the American League East.
