People often point to downtown Detroit when they talk about the city's comeback.

And while there's certainly plenty to point to as examples of improvements in the past few years, crime remains a problem. There are still shootings, robberies and car break-ins.

On Saturday around 1:50 a.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in a drive-by in the 1500 block of Broadway, at John R., after an altercation, reports James David Dickson of The Detroit News:

Police say the victim was in a group of men who had a verbal altercation with a group of four men.

A time later, the four men, riding in a black Jeep Cherokee, drove by the group including the victim and fired shots at them. At least one of the shots hit the victim in his hip.

There were no arrests.
