Detroiter Sixto Rodriguez, aka Rodriguez, aka "Sugar Man," finally got his due in the U.S. with the January 2012 release of the documentary "Searching for Sugar Man."
From there, his late-in-life career skyrocketed. He performed locally and everywhere around the globe.
We haven't heard much about Rodriguez, who is 75 and still lives in Detroit. So, we took a look at this site and see the man is still going strong, touring nationally and internationally.
He performs this month in Milwaukee and Akron, Ohio. In April, he has eight shows in towns like Boston, Portland, Maine, and Ithaca, N.Y. Then he heads to Europe for four shows in the Netherlands and Finland.
No local performances are on his current schedule through September.
