Ex-Tigers ace Justin Verlander expresses outrage over Danry Vasquez, who was cut from the minor league Lancaster Barnstormers after video surfaced of him beating his fiancée.
The 2016 clip aired on KRIS-TV in Texas this week.
Vasquez, a Venezuelan national, is a past Detroit Tigers minor league outfielder and a ontime prospect for the Houston Astros, Verlander's current team.
The athlete was eventually arrested and charged with a misdemeanor, but the case was dismissed after a plea deal in which he paid a fine and attended classes.
Verlander tweets:
you man. I hope the rest of your life without baseball is horrible. You deserve all that is coming your way! https://t.co/e8nJ8urUAJ
