El Barzon, the popular Mexican-Italian fusion restaurant in southwest Detroit, has opened La Noria Bistro next door at 5517 Michigan Ave.
The restaurant, first been mentioned as a possibility back in 2015, serves tacos, sandwiches and pizzas.
Wood-fired pizzas have thin crusts and classic toppings, as well as varieties with prosciutto and arugula, reports Melody Baetens of The Detroit News.
The restaurant, with a full-service bar, is owned by chef Norberto Garita and his family. The space previously was Zorba's Coney Island.
