Update: 'Jeopardy' Winning Streak Ends for Birmingham Woman

Update, 8 p.m. Monday: The streak is over. After winning three nights on "Jeopardy," Emily Milan of Birmingham lost Monday to Daniel Carden, a newspaper reporter for The Times in Indiana. The other losing contestant was Elizabeth Johnson, a communications and marketing manager from Lansing.

After the episode aired, Milan writes on Facebook:

I want to thank EVERYONE for the kind words and support during the last week. Being on Jeopardy was a dream come true and I appreciate each and every one of you.

Update, 1:35 p.m. Sunday: Emily Milan of Birmingham has now won three straight days on "Jeopardy." On Friday, she won $9,800 to reach $45,001 overall.

She returns Monday at 7:30 p.m. on WDIV.

Emily Milan of Birmingham chalks up her second victory in a row Thursday night on Jeopardy.

Milan, who is a nanny, won $23,600 for a total of $35,201 for two nights.

Before the latest Final Jeopardy question, she was tied at $11,800 with one other contestant. Both Milan and the contestant got the final answer (NASA) and Milan risked it all -- winning $23,600.

Milan, who earned a degree in elementary education and teaching from Eastern Michigan University in 2011, describes herself on LinkedIn as having a "diverse background in childcare and customer service."
