In Detroit, Michael Moore Films People Who Don't Vote

Michigan native and documentary filmmaker Michael Moore is coming to Detroit Saturday to talk and film people who don't vote.

"The largest political party in the United States is not the Democratic Party (66M votes for Hillary) and it's certainly not the Republican Party (63M votes for Trump)," Moore writes on Facebook. "The largest political party in the United States is the NonVoters Party – about 100 million strong!"

He invites nonvoters to show up Saturday at First Congregational Church of Detroit, 33 E. Forest Ave., between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"So, nonvoters: come be part of my event in Detroit on Saturday," Moore writes.

I want to embrace you and your determination to not be part of a corrupt voting system. I have some ideas as to how we can change it – and how you can use your power as America's largest political force. You hold the power! Think about using it!

Many of you hate them. Their refusal to simply show up and do their civic duty as citizens of the Greatest Democracy on Earth is inexcusable to some of us. We have no respect for them or their apathy. When we're not busy blaming Comey or the Russians, we're blaming these non-voters for handing us Donald J. Trump.

I have an idea: Instead of blaming them and shaming them for not voting, what if we took the time to ask them why they refuse to participate? What answers might we hear? Far from not caring or being too lazy to show up, I'm guessing millions of these non-voters DEEPLY love their country and care what happens to it. They just don't see any candidate in whom they can trust.

Moore showed up on Friday at the Michigan Capitol, using a hose from a large “Flint water” truck to spray water toward the historic building, Jonathan Oosting of The Detroit News describes.

Surrounded by a film crew, Moore directed multiple cameras:
