Police Investigate Student Complaint About Head of Catholic School

Madison Heights Police are investigating a student allegation of inappropriate behavior involving Fr. Gerry LeBoeuf, head of the Catholic school, Bishiop Foley High School, WDIV reports.

In the meantime, LeBoeuf has been put on leave pending the outcome of the inquiry.

Madison Heights police took a report Tuesday from a student accompanied by a parent and representative from the school, reports Dave Bartkowiak Jr. 

LeBoeuf also serves as pastor at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson. He is restricted from public ministry amid the investigation.

“School, parish, and archdiocesan officials are cooperating fully with this process,” the Most Rev. Arturo Cepeda, Auxiliary Bishop of Detroit, writEs in a letter to parents. “For his part, Fr. LeBoeuf has also pledged to cooperate fully with the authorities and the archdiocese. He has been placed on administrative leave and is restricted from public ministry until this matter is resolved. As this is an active investigation, no further details will be shared at this time.”
