Update, Wed. 2:04 p.m.: Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer said authorities have been digging in a wooded area in Macomb Township for the remains of several girls who have disappeared, and "no question" 12-year-old Warren girl Kimberly King, last seen in 1979, is entombed at the site, the Detroit Free Press reports.
The site is also where Cindy Zarzycki, a murdered 13-year-old from Eastpointe, was found 10 years ago. Arthur Ream, 68, who is serving a life sentence after being convicted of first-degree murder in Zarzycki's death, is believed to be the killer in all the cases, Dwyer says.

Authorities resumed digging Tuesday morning in Macomb Township for clues in several cold cases dating back to the 1970s, WDIV reports.
Police began digging Monday on a property near 23 Mile Road and North Avenue, in a wooded area along the North Branch Clinton River, where they believe as many as six bodies could be buried.

The search is in the same area where the remains of Cyndi Zarzycki were found after her rapist and killer led investigators to the spot. Arthur Ream killed Zarzycki when she was just 13 years old in 1986.
Ream revealed the spot where he buried Zarzycki during interviews in 2008. He was already in prison for raping a 15-year-old girl when investigators got him to describe how and where he buried the girl two decades before.Now authorities are working on a tip to search that same area in connection to three other cold cases that may be connected to Ream.
