September 23, 2012, 9:51 PM

Lewis Ferrin, a security guard at the Pandemonium night club in downtown Detroit,  was stabbed to death as he escorted a man out of the club round 1 a.m. Sunday, said Sgt. Alan Quinn, Detroit police spokesman.

The assailant left on foot and no arrests have been made, police said today.

Ferrin, 40, of Warren, was the father of three and was engaged to Jocelyn Murphy, also of Warren, and planned to get married next June, his brother, Mark Ferrin, told Elisha Anderson of the Free Press.

In June, Marcel Jackson, 39, was working security outside Pandemonium when he was shot and killed in a drive-by.

Jackson was the father of six and a Detroit 300 volunteer.
