The wife of ex-Lions quarterback Erik Kramer obtained a restraining order after she says he snapped and physically abused her last Wednesday.

Cortney Baird tells police she's afraid he's a on a "manhunt" to end her life, TMZ reports.

Kramer, 53, who survived a 2015 self-inflicted gunshot wound, played for the Lions from 1991-93 before going on to the Chicago Bears.

He was arrested at home in Agoura Hills, Calif., right after the June 13 incident, and his wife immediately got an emergency restraining order. She filed for divorce last Friday.

He was released on $50,000 bond and charged with felony corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, TMZ reports.

During the altercation, the wife alleges he pushed her and started throwing things such as ice packs and a block holding kitchen knives. None struck her.
