Despite the big payout in the Larry Nassar scandal, someone at Michigan State University feels the school has money to burn.
The new general counsel, former state Supreme Court Justice Robert Young, who was appointed to help deal with the Nassar fallout, will make nearly $1.3 million over three years even if he were fired for cause, the Associated Press reports.
Two unnamed sources tell the wire service that Young's pending contract is expected to be discussed publicly Friday by the board of trustees.
MSU Interim President John Engler appointed Young.
