Police described the suspect as a white male in his 20s, about 6'2", thinly built, with dark hair and wearing a blue bandana, John Lennon-style glasses and a SpongeBob SquarePants shirt with a picture of a crabby patty.
On Sunday around 5:15 p.m., Ferndale Police say that a woman went to a store near the corner of East 9 Mile Road and Paxton Street and noticed a man sitting on a rock near the entrance, according to a press release.
The man engaged her in conversation, saying he's a Ferndale resident named Nick.
Just before she left, the man asked her, "What do you think?"
That's when she noticed he had exposed himself and was masturbating. The woman ran off and called police.
