How many times have you been motoring down the freeway when a motorcycle roars by, out of nowhere and seemingly at the speed of sound?
It's definitely a warm-weather thing in these parts, and they usually travel in pods, like turbocharged whales. It can leave you gripping the wheel extra-tight, and wondering if you can change lanes without having a back-of-the-pack straggler wind up in your back seat.
The Michigan State Police have good news for you us:
Today’s Shake My Head Award: Over night two motorcycles were NB I-75 at 7 Mile traveling at 118 MPH, entered the active construction zone with 3 lanes closed down to 1. The cycles crossed into the closed portion and began 90-100 MPH toward the area of the workers. pic.twitter.com/e8jZnSKwXd

And then what happened? Why, this happened:
.Troopers caught up to one of the motorcycles and he was arrested for reckless driving and also didn’t have a cycle endorsement. Congrats, you earned 6 Points on your license and your motorcycle is in the tow yard.

It’s early...but you earned today’s SMH award. pic.twitter.com/UycvK1LKJT
It's like a webisode of "ChiPs" right on our own freeway. Book 'em.
