An exhibit that uses actual blood, sweat and tears is one of the many interactive installations in a free display called "Hustle" at a pop-up Science Gallery at 1001 Woodward in downtown Detroit. The title is a tribute to the  entrepreneurial spirit of Detroit.

Presented by Michigan State University and Science Gallery Detroit, the exhibit -- open through Aug. 25 -- creates an intersection between science, technology and art, and targets 15- to 25-year-olds.

The local project is part of  Science Gallery International, which has sponsored science exhibits around the world since the first in Dublin in 2006.

Next year, Science Gallery Detroit hopes to create an exhibit about water that will be installed along the Detroit River, says Mark Sullivan, an MSU faculty member and assistant director of the downtown space.

"Hustle" is open Tuesday-Sunday from 1-9 p.m. through next week, so hustle on down.
