La Feria, a Spanish tapas restaurant that plans to open on Cass Avenue in the coming months, won $50,000 from Comerica Bank in the 2012 Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest.
The competition attracted 250 retail business plans, and the winner was chosen through a combination of online votes by the public and the votes of a small panel of judges.
In addition to the $50,000, the business will receive interior design guidance, legal services and other assistance from local companies.
