Press Secretary Naomi Patton Leaves Bing Administration

Naomi Patton, the former Detroit Free Press reporter who became Mayor Dave Bing's press secretary earlier this year, announced today that she's leaving the administration for a private sector job.

"I'm leaving a job I always wanted -- and one of the best I've ever had," Patton wrote in an email announcing her resignation. "I am returning to the private sector to work at yet another job that I have always wanted."

Patton worked at the Free Press from 2003-12.
