The Cool 'Dally in the Alley' in Detroit Is Today; Includes More Kids' Fun

September 08, 2018, 10:03 AM by  Allan Lengel

Hands down, this is one of the cooler annual events in Detroit. Dally in the Alley, a beer-music-food festival in Detroit's alleys in the Cass Corridor, is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

On top of the usual, the 42st yeary event around 4632 Second Ave. features expanded chikdren's activities.

The Facebook page says:

Once again this year, the Dally in the Alley is happy to work with our neighbors Motor City Brew Works to supply the bread and butter of the Dally: the beer. Our beer garden was such a wonderful success last year that we decided to double down and have a second beer garden this year. That gives all you Dalliers a beer garden on Hancock, the new beer garden on Forest between 2nd and Cass, beer tents at Forest and 2nd and Forest and 3rd, and finally the tried and true Alley beer garages.

We have a great variety of options for Dalliers this year. We're offering 4 different beers; Ghettoblaster (an English Mild Ale), Motown Lager (lighter option), Kitty Hop (the 40th anniversary New England style IPA), and our brand new Back Alley Shandy! There's also a Cider (for Cider fans and the gluten free), and an Elixir (similar to a wine cooler). In addition to these Motor City staples we'll offer multiple varieties of white and red wine, as well as Faygo pop and bottled water for non-alcohol options. Its the beer and wine sales that allow us to put on Dally every year, and one of the reasons that we are able to stay one of the few independent and un-sponsored festivals in the Detroit! So please, support Dally by stopping by and buying a drink!
