Detroit's Pie-Sci's New Pizza Menu Steps Out of the Box

 

New menus at existing restaurants don't usually catch our eye.

But the new fall lineup at Pie-Sci, a pizzeria at 5163 Trumbull in Detroit's Woodbridge neighborhood, triggers curiosity in our pizza-loving mind. Here are some pizzas and clever names that catch our eye:

♦ Lil Kimchi:Thai coconut peanut sauce, sesame chicken, broccoli, crushed peanuts, kimchi and green onion.

♦ ChikChikChik Pea: White pizza, mozzarella, falafel, feta cheese, red onion, shredded romaine lettuce, tomato and lemon-tahini drizzle.

♦ Detroit Brussels Harder: White pizza, mozzarella, oven roasted brussel sprouts, feta cheese, bacon and balsamic drizzle.

♦ Bill Rye the Science Guy: White pizza, mozzarella, sliced corned beef, provolone, cheese, apple coleslaw, thousand island dressing on a caraway rye crust.

♦ Fig Lebowski: Roasted red pepper tomato sauce, mozzarella, bacon, carmalized onions, figs and honey drizzle on a cracked black pepper crust.

The fall lineup is available starting Oct. 8.
