Handball Courts Restored in Detroit's Palmer Park

Handball returns to historic Palmer Park in the 6 Mile and Woodward area of Detroit.

People for Palmer Park and the Michigan Handball Association have restore neglected handball courts there. The recreation area was last used as compost bins where the city stored wood chips and manure from the nearby Detroit Mounted Police Station.

The courts are resurfaced and painted. A one-hour ceremony next Saturday at noon will officially open the courts.
