October 20, 2018, 9:22 AM

Bucharest Grill, the popular restaurant best known for tasty chicken shawarma, started in the Park Bar in downtown Detroit behind the Fox Theatre.

In 2016, after ten years, It was forced to move and it began to multiply in locations around the city including Corktown and the New Center area. On Friday, the Detroit chain opened a fitth spot -- this time downtown at 436 W. Columbia St., with booze.

Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit writes:

At 130 seats, the downtown location of Bucharest will be the casual Detroit-based chain’s largest restaurant to date. Tarasov, who owns the Columbia Street building, is also introducing something new but entirely fitting for Bucharest — a bar.

The location will feature approximately 21 different beers pouring from 24 taps. The beer menu is comprised of selections from local and regional breweries including Batch Brewing Company, Bell’s, Brew Detroit, and Atwater, as well as domestics like Budweiser and Miller.
