Peter Karmanos Jr., a member of the Deadline Detroit team, sat down Thursday afternoon with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gretchen Whitmer in his downtown Birmingham office to discuss some of the pressing issues of the day.
Karmanos touched on a number of topics including Detroit's shrunken populaton, the decline of quality public education and low-paid teachers.
