Yes, downtown Detroit has another new restaurant. Crazy Gringo Express, a Mexican carryout stand in the Guardian Building on Griswold, opened in October.

The shop, open weekdays from 11 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m., is owned Tommy Vasilos, who operates the Crazy Gringo Mexican Cantina on Gratiot in Clinton Township. The menu has tacos, burritos, salads, chips and guacamole, chicken tortilla soup and nachos.

Customers wanting to eat on the premisis can use seats in the office tower's lobby.

Vasilos plans to open a restaruant on Harper in St. Clair Shores.

In April, Crazy Gringo Cantina won a Royal Oak Bacon Bash award for its taco creation.
