Social media howls about cancellation of a cult-following show are as predictable as dawn's early light in the eastern sky.
Still, there's a zesty, tangy quality to some fans' reactions Tuesday to Comedy Central's lack of faith in year three of "Detroiters."
Eli Savit, an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan Law School, tweets: "Michigan's lame-duck legislature should drop literally every other bill they are considering, and figure out how to save 'Detroiters.'"
"To everyone did not watch the excellent, sweet, surreal, hilarious show: THIS BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS!!" tweets Allison Keene of Atlanta, an editor and TV reviewer for Collider, based in Burbank, Calif.
There's already a #SaveDetroiters tag and more than 800 replies to a tweet by series co-star Sam Richardson, who broke the news in a 12:56 p.m. post that began "Sadly, . . ."
These five stand out on his thread and elsewhere for their humor, passion and piquancy:

#Detroiters was the funniest show on television and I personally blame myself for not forcing more friends to watch it. Please let Detroiters find another home! #SaveDetroiters https://t.co/tO5Xof6u2D
