The on-and-off again Detroit Pistons looked as if they might be real winners this year. Then they stumbled badly, and now they're at 17-20.

So it's fair to say they could use a little prayer, or help from a higher calling.

Which brings us to this: A little shop in Ra'anana, Israel is selling a yarmulke (religious skullcap) with a Pistons logo. Jews wear yarmulkes in synagogues during times of prayer. (Orthodox Jews wear them all the time.)

Interestingly, according to Michael Papas, a Hazel Park native who lives in Porland, Ore.,  the Pistons were the only team represented on the many yarmulkes for sale in the shop he visited Monday.

Is there some signfiicance to all this?

Or did the shop simply get a good price on Pistons' yarmulkes?
