A Florida city commissioner from Hallandale Beach last week signed an online petition urging the removal of newly sworn-in Rep. Rashida Tlaib, adding in a Facebook post that she could "become a martyr and blow up Capitol Hill," the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Anabelle Lima-Taub wrote on her Facebook page that she "proudly signed" the petition, which has the approximate impact of yelling at your TV, adding: "A Hamas-loving anti-Semite has NO place in government!" Lima-Taub is Jewish and was born in Israel, according to her bio page on the Hallandale Beach city government website.

The usual uproar that follows such things is following this thing. Two of her fellow commissioners are "condemning" Lima-Taub for giving Hallandale Beach a "black eye." The vice mayor called it "really inappropriate." A Muslim-American advocacy group demanded an apology. And so on.

Lima-Taub removed the Facebook post, but so far has offered no comment.

All of this is, of course, blowback from Tlaib's comments at a gathering of supporters following her swearing-in as Michigan's 13th District Congressional representative earlier this month, in which she vowed to help impeach a certain MF'er in the Oval Office.
