OK, so we kid. No shocker here.

Dan Gilbert's Bedrock LLC has purchased the six-story, Ben Marks Furs building at 1211 Griswold St. in Capitol Park for $3.85 million, Annalise Frank of Crain's Detroit Business reports.

Bedrock's Chairman Jim Ketai says the building is likely to be converted for residential use "because that's what fits best in Capitol Park."

Howard Hanna Real Estate Services describes the six-story, 14,4000-square-foot building between State Street and Grand River Avenue as having "a beautiful architectural facade of glazed terra cotta tile and large windows offering views of the surrounding downtown Detroit landscape. The column-free design, exposed brick walls and soaring ceilings allow for endless potential for developers."
