It was one of the great moments in Tigers history.

Kirk "Gibby" Gibson was was up to bat in the 1984 World Series and you could hear the conversation on the pitcher's mound.

San Diego Padre Manager Dick Williams wanted pitcher Goose Gossage to walk Gibson. But Gossage refused.

Tigers coach Sparky Anderson kept yelling to Gibson: "He don't wanna walk you."

Then Gibby got up and belted one over the right field fence.

Dick Williams didn't look too happy.  -- A.L.
