"The billionaire chairman of Quicken Loans Inc. and owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers is starting a podcast called 'The Speed of the Game,'" Chad Livengood writes at Crain's Detroit Business.
[It] will focus on entrepreneurship, sports, Detroit and apparently spotlight some of his own companies and investments.
The first episode, featuring billionaire Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, will be available later this month on Apple iTunes and Spotify.
"We'll keep it short, we'll keep it fun, we'll keep it entertaining," Gilbert says in the 44-second preview below. "Because information's moving so fast, at an increasing pace, if you're not keeping up with the speed of the game, then you can't play."
Among guests will be pro athletes, tech execs, philanthropists and anyone "Dan believes is a unique and interesting human being," senior communications manager Andrea English of Rock Ventures tells Livengood.
Episodes will be taped in downtown Detroit. There's no word yet on how often they'll drop.
